HVAC Supervisor - Facilities - School Year 2026-2027

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records on material and labor used.
• Maintain inventory of district-owned tools, equipment, and materials.
• Respond to emergency calls during regular hours and after hours.
• Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
• Ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition.
• Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing, etc.
• Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Supervise Mechanic I, II, III, IAQ and Building Automation Staff.

• Hand and power tools
• Pipe bender
• Propane torch
• Light truck or van

Working Conditions

• Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress. Work with frequent interruptions.
• Physical Demands: Continual standing, walking, pushing and pulling. Ability to perform extensive physical and repetitive activities, including but not limited to stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, carrying, climbing (ladder) and moderate lifting and carrying up to 105 lbs.
• Environmental Factors: Work for continuous or extended periods exposed to, but not limited to the sun, heat, cold, poor weather conditions and/or mechanical room or equipment noise.
