HVAC Superintendent- Commercial

About the role

J.F. Sobieski Mechanical Contractors, Inc. is seeking a full-time Commercial Construction HVAC Superintendent. The ideal candidate will manage multiple commercial projects, provide quality assurance, and communicate effectively with project managers and general contractors.

Responsibilities

• Manage and schedule tradesmen on various projects
• Evaluate the quality of work at each phase of construction
• Confirm proper procedures are being followed
• Communicate project status to project manager and general contractor
• Ensure field teams are scheduled and have the proper materials needed to perform tasks
• Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers
• Oversee safety protocols and ensure compliance
• Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets
• Mentor and train new employees

Requirements

• At least 8 years of commercial installation experience
• Experience managing tradesmen
• Pass a background check and drug screen
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Diplomatic problem-solving skills
• Passion for quality
• Effective prioritization of multiple tasks

Schedule

This full-time site superintendent position typically works Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Overtime may be expected during peak periods.
