HVAC Specialist with Security Clearance

Essential Job Functions

• Captures and performs inspections on HVAC systems and components to evaluate condition, identify necessary repairs, and recommend preventive maintenance.
• Performs installations of HVAC equipment and systems and monitors repairs on systems and/or components.
• Collaborates with HVAC Lead and/or Trade Shop Supervisor on completing projects and work orders efficiently.
• Determines the cause of problems and/or failures in HVAC systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs.
• Monitors the performance of routine and preventive maintenance to ensure the availability of HVAC systems.
• Prepares written reports (work order status, activity logs, etc.) for documenting activities and/or conveying information.
• Requests equipment and supplies to maintain correct inventory amounts and ensure availability of items required to complete installations and/or repairs.
• Responds to emergency situations during or after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns.

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or GED.
• At least six (6) years of HVAC experience.

Licenses & Certifications

• Journeyman HVAC License required.
• CFC/HFC certification preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools common to trade.
• Ability to interpret and apply codes, blueprints, wiring diagrams and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of operation / installation of a variety of complete HVAC systems / equipment.

Security Clearance
