About the Role
Responsible for daily service work on HVAC heating, cooling, boiler, chiller, and refrigeration systems. This position involves reading and understanding blueprints, effective communication with team members and customers, and representing TP Mechanical Contractors professionally.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and solve HVAC rooftop units, make-up air, boiler, chiller, and control system problems.
- Knowledge of VRF systems is a plus.
- Follow up with customers for quality assurance and ensure 100% satisfaction.
- Act as senior technical support for other service technicians, answering technical questions and assisting with issues.
- Attend job site and office meetings related to assigned projects, prepared to handle potential issues.
- Dependable and able to work in emergency situations when called.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8-10 years of commercial experience in plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration.
- Stable work history.
- HVAC license in KY regions only.
- EPA or Universal License.
- HVAC chiller and boiler certifications are a plus.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Must provide own basic hand tools.
- OSHA 10 Construction Industry certification.
Skills
- Ability to read blueprints.
- HVAC and refrigeration repair and installation.
- Working knowledge of all hand and power tools.
- Able to use specialty tools including Recovery Machine, Multi Meter, and Combustion Analysis.
- Control experience is a plus.
- Able to install equipment.
- Very strong technical background.
- Works within precise limits or standards of accuracy and productivity.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Ability to manage, lead, motivate, and discipline.
- Excellent organizational skills.
Qualifications
- High School or GED equivalent.
- Trade school experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Eyesight correctable to 20/50.
- Able to work long hours on feet.
- Able to lift and climb ladders and scaffolds.
- Able to perform shift work.
- Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 60 lbs.
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must not be afraid of heights.
