HVAC Service Manager

About the role

Horizon Services, Inc., the largest residential plumbing, heating, air‑conditioning, and drain‑cleaning company in Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New Jersey, is seeking a dynamic HVAC Service Manager for its Audubon, PA location. The manager will lead a team of 15+ employees, coordinating HVAC services and repairs to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage Service and Dispatch staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work.
• Appraise performance, reward and discipline employees, address complaints, and resolve problems.
• Stay abreast of industry technological developments and convey knowledge to team members.
• Coordinate team activities to achieve individual and team goals, uphold high standards, and conduct regular meetings on policy, performance, quality, and safety.
• Interface effectively with other departments.
• Ensure employees provide superior customer service; conduct ride‑alongs with Service Technicians.
• Provide customer service support, respond to inquiries and problems promptly, and resolve excessive consumption issues.
• Promote and support the Horizon Services brand.

Requirements

• 10+ years in the residential HVAC industry (commercial experience only is not acceptable).
• 3+ years in a service‑management role within the industry.
• Technical school diploma or certificate of completion; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment, tools, and materials.
• Extensive technical skills within the trade.
• Customer/client interfacing experience.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule as necessary to meet customer requirements.
• Understanding of operational concepts including planning, scheduling, and logistics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
