HVAC Service/Installation Technicians

About the role

New England Mechanical Services is currently seeking an HVAC Technician with gas and Universal Refrigeration license to maintain, troubleshoot, repair and operate commercial HVAC systems for our Gorham, Maine CT Operations Group. We serve commercial customers in Central and Southern Maine. This position prefers individuals with commercial HVAC systems experience, the ability to respond on a moment's notice, and strong communication skills.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Keep trade licenses and certifications current
• Follow and comply with the rules and regulations of section 608 of the Clean Air Act and occupational safety regulations mandated by federal, state and local governments
• Attend all safety training provided and/or sponsored by NEMSI
• Follow all NEMSI safety policies, procedures, and use personal protective equipment when performing installation and/or servicing HVAC systems
• Interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner while maintaining a clean and neat appearance
• Flexible to work overtime and weekends as demand requires
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

• State of Maine Gas license
• EPA 608 Universal required
• Commercial HVAC systems experience
• Clean driving record

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear, smell; and lift, set-up and climb ladders as well as stairways
• Frequently required to stand and occasionally sit
• Regularly lift and/or move 0-50 lbs. frequently, 51-100 lbs. occasionally, and 101+ lbs. seldom
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
• Maintain a neat and clean appearance and utilize all protective equipment provided and as required

Pay

$30.00-$45.00 hourly commensurate with experience.
