Responsibilities
- Assist with on-site preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration of commercial HVAC systems
- Use technical skills to maintain and troubleshoot HVAC equipment
- Work in a team-based environment to ensure customer satisfaction
- Adhere to all safety protocols daily
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- HVAC trade school graduate strongly preferred (3.5+ GPA and excellent attendance)
- 1+ years in a mechanical support role; hands-on HVAC experience preferred
- EPA Certification (Type I & II or Universal) preferred
- NATE certification a plus
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
- Ability to climb ladders and perform moderate lifting (up to 90 pounds)
- Technical aptitude for maintenance, service, and troubleshooting
- Strong customer service and diagnostic skills (electrical/mechanical)
- Ability to complete repairs and required paperwork independently
- Self-motivated with strong time-management skills
- Willingness to relocate after training completion
- Availability for occasional weekend and night work
Physical Requirements
- Safely access rooftops via fixed/extension ladders with tools/equipment
- Work at heights independently
- Load/unload tools/equipment from work van
- Occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Occasional shoulder/overhead lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Push/pull wheeled carts up to 150 lbs.
- Climb ladders to roof height
- Repetitive overhead reach
Pay
This is an hourly, non-exempt role with an annual salary range of $33,000 – $41,000, depending on geography, market, tenure, performance, skills, education, and experience. Overtime is paid for hours worked beyond 40 per week (or as required by state law).
