As an HVAC / Residential Home Appliances Field Service Repair Technician, you are the key component in providing excellent customer service by maintaining and repairing a wide range of equipment, including:

  • Commercial and Residential HVAC and Refrigeration equipment (Ice Machines, Walk-in Coolers/Freezers, Stand-alone Refrigerator Coolers/Freezers, Air Conditioners, Central HVAC units, Hotel room HVAC units)
  • Home appliances (Washers, Dryers, Cooking equipment)

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair home appliances and HVAC/Refrigeration equipment.
  • Provide cost estimates for repairs.
  • Effectively communicate with customers to ensure they understand the services needed.
  • Order parts and ensure efficient use of company materials.
  • Collect payment for work performed.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional customer service skills—you are the face of the company and must deliver a great experience with empathy.
  • Ability to diagnose issues and clearly explain solutions to customers.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to ensure quality repairs on the first visit.
  • Efficiency in managing time and completing repairs promptly.
  • Punctuality and reliability—customers depend on you to show up on time.
  • Attention to detail, including maintaining a clean and organized work vehicle and accurately completing customer reports.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing training to stay updated on new appliances and technologies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • EPA Type 1 or Universal CFC Certification (required).
  • Previous experience of one year or more in HVAC or residential appliance repair (a plus).

Pay

The pay range for this position is $60,000 to $150,000 per year, depending on experience. You’ll also have the opportunity to earn bonuses and commissions. Compensation may start with a daily guarantee and transition to commission-based pay, with top technicians earning well over $100,000 annually.
