About the role
Responsible for the research and improvement of local applicability issues in the process of HVAC system product development, compliance analysis and product compliance strategy.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for collecting and organizing the special legal and regulatory requirements of American countries and summarizing the specific policy requirements for air conditioning products unique to each region, regular meeting with Headquarter to share the latest information, trainings.
- Based on the analysis of laws and regulations, promote the collaborative product planning and development of the new product.
- Participate in industry association meetings, promote exchanges and cooperation with certification agencies/ associations, and deeply participate in the preparation and revision of industry standards, etc.
- Participate in discussions to develop product certification listing strategies for AHRI certification, DOE and EPA regulations, performance analysis against competitors; local product certification and listing work.
- Connect with local 3rd party certification laboratories in Americas and be responsible for local certification / cooperative testing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in refrigeration and air conditioning, thermal energy and power engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical automation, or related major.
- More than 5 years of experience working in certified institutions and laboratories in the refrigeration and air conditioning industry.
- Design experience in VRF, Heat pump, Chiller, and rooftop products is preferred.
- Understand the American certification system and have excellent communication /interpersonal skills.
- Strong information retrieval ability, adept at tracking and discovering industry trends.
- Fluent in English and the ability to speak a second language (Spanish, French, etc.) is preferred.
