HVAC & Refrigeration Technician
About the role
Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs all types of HVAC and refrigeration systems within the facility. Systems include Air Handlers, Exhaust Fans, Package Units, Roof Top Units, Split Type Heating and Cooling Systems, Glycol Systems, Chilled Water Systems, Hot Water, Steam Heating Systems, Pneumatic Controls, and Building Automation Systems.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor Pneumatic Tube Systems
- Monitor and operate Elevators
- Operate and monitor Fire Alarm Systems
- Maintain and repair Air Handlers, Exhaust Fans, Package Units, Roof Top Units, Split Type Heating and Cooling Systems, Glycol Systems, Chilled Water Systems, Hot Water, Steam Heating Systems
- Maintain Pneumatic Controls and Building Automation Systems
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One to two years of basic technical or occupationally specific training in HVAC and Refrigeration
- Five to seven years of previous work-related experience
- EPA Type 4 Certification required
- Valid driver’s license with no pending violations and an acceptable driving record as stipulated by SJH policy and, if applicable, the SJH insurance carrier
Qualifications

Pay
Salary range provided to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc.
