Required Skills, Knowledge, Education And Experience

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Healthcare related mechanical work preferred
• Active driving privileges

Essential Functions

• Maintains and repairs HVAC controls and associated equipment
• Performs urgent and routine repairs of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
• Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on patient room related furnishings and equipment
• Assists in maintaining electrical wiring and emergency generator systems
• Inspects and tests equipment/systems
• Maintains routine records of inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs
• Performs manual duties as requested
• Services hospital vehicles
• Responds to emergency calls
• Reads and writes legibly
• Establishes and maintains effective working relations with staff
• Has good knowledge and mechanical aptitude for using and repairing various types of mechanical equipment
• Reads blueprints, understands simple drawings and written instructions
• Familiar with fire alarms and signal systems
• Able to work alone and with others under normal supervision
• Able to see the needs of others and complete tasks without reminders or prompting
• Good mathematical skills

Schedule Information

Position will work 40 hours per week working: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
