Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Facilities Engineering maintains 6 million square foot of facilities dedicated to clinical and academic functions.
Responsibilities
- Keeps equipment clean and operational.
- Handles and disposes of hazardous and or infectious waste properly and practices infection control.
- Repairs and maintains all aspects of the facility's heating, ventilation and air conditioning, medical gas, fluid equipment distribution and fire protection systems.
- Performs routine preventative and predictive maintenance on assigned systems and equipment including calibration, alignment, and balancing.
- Ensures all completed assignments meet all applicable code requirements.
- Operates building automation system and makes modifications and additions to the system as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Associate or Trade School
- Experience: 2-5 years
- Licenses & Certifications: Universal EPA
