HVAC-R Service Technician - Local residency required - Travel from home

About the role

Carlson & Stewart Refrigeration is a design-build contractor specializing in commercial and industrial refrigeration systems. We are seeking experienced HVAC-R technicians who can service, repair, and install equipment, and who are committed to our core values of Safety First, Quality People, Quality Product, and Ethical Behavior.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and install commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify system issues and complete repairs.
• Handle refrigerants in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Travel for jobs as needed (per diem + hotel provided).
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
• Use EMS software to access customer control systems remotely.
• Utilize mobile devices to log work orders, hours, and diagnostics.
• Navigate dispatching software, email, and online resources.
• Maintain a professional appearance at all customer locations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (trade school or technical college preferred).
• Minimum 4 years of HVAC or refrigeration experience.
• EPA certification (or ability to obtain).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and work on feet for extended periods.
• Strong communication and technology skills.
