HVAC R Mechanic II

About the role

BayCare is seeking a passionate individual to provide outstanding customer service and perform maintenance duties primarily focused on Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and associated systems at Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor, Florida.

Responsibilities

• Perform demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of facility equipment, including HVAC and associated systems, in accordance with departmental, hospital, and regulatory agency codes.
• Maintain facilities and equipment in a hospital or clinic environment.
• May be scheduled to work various shifts and weekends to meet hospital needs, including outside of typical craft lines.
• May require travel to perform maintenance work at other BayCare Health System (BCHS) facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent (required).
• FL Driver’s License (required).
• EPA Certification (required).
• 5 years of experience as an HVAC/R Service Technician (required).
• 2 years of experience with Building Automation Systems (required).

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical or vocational training.
• Refrigeration Certification.
• 3 years of maintenance experience in a hospital-related field.
• 1 year of experience in high-rise maintenance.

Schedule

• Full-time.
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
• Days: Monday – Friday.
