HVAC & Plumbing Estimator

Interstate Mechanical LLC (IMCOR) is seeking an HVAC & Plumbing Estimator to join our team and contribute to our legacy of excellence in designing, building, and maintaining Arizona’s mechanical systems since 1974.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed job take-offs to ensure profitability while delivering exceptional value to clients.
• Build lasting client relationships by understanding needs and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Utilize FastDUCT, FastPIPE, and other estimating software for accurate calculations and projections.
• Assist in proposal drafting, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and preliminary scheduling.
• Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate both independently and within a team environment to achieve success.
• Handle additional responsibilities related to estimating and project execution as needed.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in estimating, project management, or mechanical construction (or 7-10 years of equivalent education & experience).
• Proficiency with estimating software—FastDUCT & FastPIPE preferred.
• Strong understanding of Mechanical Codes and ability to interpret bid documents accurately.
• Experience with larger projects and design-build environments is a plus.

• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and highly organized.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills for material and equipment takeoffs.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage high-volume projects under tight deadlines.
• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Quick learner who adapts to changing industry trends and new technologies.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to make informed decisions with limited information.
• Ability to simplify processes and optimize workflow efficiency.
