HVAC Operations & Maintenance Mechanical Serviceman (union)

About the role

Johnson Controls, a leading Building Technology OEM for Healthcare, Manufacturing, Higher Education, K12 and Commercial Real Estate, seeks skilled HVAC Servicemen to join their growing business.

Responsibilities

• Commission, service, and maintain advanced commercial equipment
• Consult with customers on comfort, building inefficiency, and other service-related issues
• Access to Factory Technical Support and required safety equipment, uniforms, tools, cell phone, technical equipment, and vehicle
• Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems
• Identify and recommend enhancements for system reliability and sustainability
• Provide labor and material quotes for recommended solutions
• Participate in weekend, night, and holiday call out service on a rotating basis

Requirements

• Two years practical working experience in residential, light commercial, or commercial mechanical equipment
• Valid driver's license
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to join the UA of Plumbers and Pipefitters

Preferred

• One year of Commercial and/or industrial work experience in the HVAC industry
• Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance and minor repair of pumps, VFDs, Air Handling Units, and Rooftop units
• EPA Refrigerant Certification required
