What you will do
- Provide service and maintenance for commercial ducted products, air cooled and/or water-cooled chillers, AHU’s, and roof-top ducted units.
- Offer solutions and recommendations to improve facility efficiency and resolve service-related issues.
- Communicate with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Prepare quotes for recommended solutions and upsell opportunities.
Requirements
- Must be a member of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
- At least 5 years of practical experience on Commercial ducted products, air cooled and/or water-cooled chillers, AHU’s, or Roof Top ducted units.
- Strong HVAC/ mechanical troubleshooting experience, including the ability to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, and screw chiller system components.
- Travel up to 20% of the time to support startup and commissioning activities, as well as aftermarket service trouble-shooting.
- Able to pass a knowledge examination to assess proficiencies.
Qualifications
- Enroll in training programs and JCI’s Service Technical Academy (STA) to gain knowledge in HVAC products and sales quoting.
- Work collaboratively with other local market mechanics.
- Show attention to detail through interpersonal, digital, and written communication skills.
- Write and communicate effectively about facility problems, causes, and corrective actions to customers.
- Participate in JCI’s Service Plus Rewards program.
- Be a self-starter with a passion for learning and applying new skills on the job.
