Pay

Starting base pay: $26.92‑$33.38 per hour (minimum). Shelter maintains broad salary ranges to account for geographic location, education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs, and market demands. This range reflects only the starting base pay and does not include other components of the total rewards package.

What You Will Be Doing

• Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems, including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Maintain, repair, and replace heat pumps and steam boilers when necessary, with or without assistance.
• Analyze HVAC systems and equipment to identify inefficiencies or malfunctions and develop solutions to optimize performance and increase operational efficiency.
• Remove and install new HVAC systems as applicable.
• Provide support and expertise in all areas of Facility Operations and Engineering.
• Perform duties requiring a high level of expertise in commercial HVAC and mechanical trades.
• Note: A Motor Vehicle Report may be ordered on final candidates due to the nature of the duties.

What We're Looking For

• 10‑15 years of mechanical experience.
• Master Mechanical certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in commercial HVAC.
• Excellent customer service skills for effective interaction with employees.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work well in a team environment or individually.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation.
