HVAC Mechanic I

About the role

To repair and maintain air conditioning, heating and refrigeration systems and pneumatic equipment at City of Little Rock buildings and facilities. This position is not designated as a safety/security sensitive position and is not subject to random drug and alcohol screening.

Minimum Qualifications

• Vocational-technical training in heating and air conditioning systems or a related field, or four (4) years of experience as an HVAC Mechanic
• One (1) year of personal computer experience
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered

Additional Requirements

• Valid Arkansas Class D (Non-Commercial Vehicle) Driver’s License before employment and maintained for the duration of employment
• Availability to respond to emergency calls outside normal working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Obtain an Arkansas Class B HVAC license within two (2) years of employment and maintain licensure thereafter
• EPA Section 608 certification Type 1 and Type 2 administered by an EPA-approved organization before employment and maintained thereafter
• Arkansas HVACR registrant license within thirty (30) days of employment and maintained thereafter
