About the role
Maintains, tests, repairs, and modifies heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related temperature controls and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Provides maintenance support to air handling units, exhaust systems, VAVs, BAS, and chilled water systems.
- Maintains specified pressures, temperatures, and humidity.
- Inspects equipment for malfunctions.
- Makes adjustments and/or repairs.
- Recommends modifications, replacements, repairs, and necessary procedures.
- Performs routine preventative maintenance according to established schedules.
- Maintains preventive maintenance records and equipment repair files in order to comply with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
- Assists in construction, remodeling, and maintenance projects.
- Provides information on critical mechanical and electrical equipment and systems.
- Conducts and supervises airflow and balancing tests required for accreditation reports and for the infection control program.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Trade specific education preferred.
- Completion of an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved HVAC technician certification program.
- Additional certification as required by local municipality as determined at position level.
- 3 years of related experience.
- 1 year of direct experience.

Pay
This position pays $29.54 - $44.31 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Schedule
Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks). Shift: Days.
