HVAC Mechanic

Essential Functions

• Inspect and maintain all air-conditioning equipment.
• Read blue-prints and schematic drawings to determine location, size, capacity and type of component needed to repair the unit.
• Install new air-conditioning units.
• Purchase material and parts necessary to repair equipment.
• Recharge air-conditioning systems with refrigerants as necessary.
• Overhaul compressors, condensers and other equipment as needed.
• May provide guidance to co-workers in proper procedures and safety.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• L-Light Work – Required to push, pull or lift up to 40+ pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
