HVAC Maintenance Tech - Plant Engineering, Days

Overview

This position is 1st shift. It requires on-call, as needed during any hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment and systems
• Maintain the safe operation of highly complex systems and equipment
• Specific systems may include: electronic/pneumatic environmental controls, fan powered boxes and auxiliary equipment (various pumps, heat exchangers, air compressors, etc.)
• Chiller operations
• BAS controls
• Pump operations
• Water treatment program
• Air handler units, VAV's, walk-in coolers and freezers, refrigerators, ice machines and boiler operations

Qualifications

Education: H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Work Experience: 3 years of Maintenance Tech experience to include HVAC experience. Experience may be substituted if graduate from a HVAC program Required. 1 year for systems that include BAS controls, experience must include commercial/healthcare HVAC/HVAC BAS experience or graduation from a BAS program Required.

Licenses and Certifications:

• EPA Universal Certification Required
• Valid state issued driver's license & adhere to Piedmont's Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program policy 3500 Required
