About the role
The HVAC Maintenance Mechanic will support the Facilities Supervisor by inspecting, installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying refrigeration systems, air conditioning units, evaporative coolers, exhaust fans, and ventilation equipment. The role involves conducting scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure optimal efficiency of all heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair refrigeration equipment
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components of HVAC systems and equipment
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical aspects of HVAC systems and equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment
- Conduct audits of system performance and make adjustments to maintain efficient operation
- Communicate effectively using verbal and written skills
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Four (4) years of experience in installation, repair, and maintenance of small and large capacity commercial HVAC equipment
Preferred
- Trade school education with specialized training in HVAC
- EPA Universal Refrigeration certification
