HVAC Lab Technician - 2nd Shift
The HVAC Lab Technician - 2nd Shift is an intermediate level position responsible for testing HVAC units under supervision. This role supports engineers in developing testing capabilities and products, troubleshoots issues, and collaborates with QA teams.
Responsibilities
- Set up test facility and instrumentation as directed.
- Support and collaborate with engineers in structuring and developing system testing.
- Analyze and improve existing processes and designs.
- Plan, set up, instrument, and operate products and test facilities.
- Assist in developing solutions or workarounds to resolve defects.
- Work with QA teams to understand low-level functions within application software or products.
- Conduct tests, analyze data, and make modifications to units within limits of intermediate nature.
- Participate in 5S improvement programs.
Requirements
- Two-year Associate's Degree + 1 year OR at least 4 years' HVAC directly related experience.
- EPA Universal Refrigerant Handling License.
- Brazing, piping, basic wiring skills.
- 208/230/460V 3-phase 60 Hz wiring.
- Instrumentation and low voltage wiring.
- General mechanical skills and ability to read mechanical drawings.
- Good working knowledge and skills in testing related to temperature, pressure, and electrical property measurement.
- Good planning, organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
- Good attendance.
- MS Office experience helpful.
