About the role

The HVAC Installer is responsible for the installation of HVAC comfort or process systems, utilizing knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts.

Responsibilities

• Install products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Perform installation, troubleshooting, and start-ups of HVAC systems.
• Use hand tools, blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes, or engineering specifications to install complete operational systems.
• Install systems and products at customer locations.
• Prepare for on-site installation by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, and gathering materials.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle by checking condition and completing repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain tools and equipment by inspecting for signs of wear.
• Document work by completing paperwork on each job.
• Serve as a direct customer contact, representing the company.
• Determine parts to order for installation and timeliness of need.
• Stay current on major products concerning installation, operation, and application.
• Provide technical support to customers.
• Travel regularly as required.
• Work overtime and weekends as needed.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience installing HVAC systems.
• Experience with installing high and low voltage wiring.
• Proficiency in piping work, brazing, and threading.
