Job Summary

Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing home heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems. You will work closely with contractors, other technicians, and homeowners to ensure each installation is completed to the highest standards. Five years experience minimum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install various residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductless systems.
  • Understand and execute the preparation requirements for HVAC installations, including checking electrical and plumbing connections.
  • Diagnose system malfunctions and perform maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures as well as local HVAC codes and regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism and expertise.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certification or degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience as an HVAC installer or similar role in residential settings.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, especially residential units.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with current HVAC regulations and standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record; ability to meet driving requirements for company vehicle.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

Physical Demands & Cognitive Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in confined spaces.
  • Comfortable working in varying weather conditions.
  • Capability to perform manual tasks over extended periods.
  • Physically capable of working on 30 foot ladders.
