About the role
Plumbline Services is seeking HVAC Installers to join a team of creative and energetic employees dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service. Installers educate customers on product options, remove and replace HVAC equipment, and install accessories as needed, ensuring compliance with local and national codes. They also serve as mentors and coaches to apprentice and entry-level technicians.
Responsibilities
- Install/Replace HVAC equipment including ductwork, attic and/or vertical splits (gas or heat pump), rooftop package units (gas or heat pump)
- Maintain good working order of company vehicle
- Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle
- Travel to job sites in the service area, work with dispatch to maintain schedule, and communicate delays to customers
- Design duct systems for optimal comfort and efficiency
- Engage in conversations with homeowners about AC systems and potential accessory sales or replacements
- Generate customer invoices and process credit card payments at the job site
- Participate in company-provided training opportunities on customer service and industry technologies
- Coach and mentor apprentices and entry-level installers
Requirements
- 2+ years' experience with knowledge in refrigeration function and theory
- Able to diagnose and perform replacement of HVAC-related components such as Air Conditioners & Heat Pumps, Furnaces & Air Handlers, Duct Work & Zone Systems, Thermostats, Air Filters/filtration Systems, Low and high voltage wiring
- Type II EPA Certification
- Basic set of HVAC installation hand tools and proficiency in testing equipment (wrenches, screwdrivers/nut drivers, sheet metal and ductwork tools, hammers, refrigerant gauges, manometers, magnahelic gauges, carbon monoxide detectors, psychrometers, micron gauges)
- Excellent customer service skills with a strong desire to exceed customer expectations
- Working knowledge of city codes
- Service Titan experience preferred
- Ability to work independently, make corrections, and work in tight spaces and on roofs
