Job Summary
Blue Mountain Construction Services in Vacaville, CA, has an immediate opening for an HVAC Journeyman Installer.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage and correct material lists.
- Communicate safety with all Blue Mountain personnel on site.
- Communicate task and quality with all Blue Mountain personnel on site.
- Installation of HVAC, sheet metal and gutter is a plus.
- Have knowledge of current HVAC code, regulations, and industry standards.
- Able to communicate with Superintendents.
- Collaborate with his supervisor to coordinate work orders and completion of jobs and deliveries.
- Handles employee-related duties which may include maintaining employee work records, including information on absenteeism and job performance.
- Secure supplies and equipment daily.
- Coincides with deliveries to jobs sites.
- Coordinates fabrication review and layouts.
- Install gutter and sheet metal.
- Aids in scheduling and approval of employee time off and time sheets for payroll purposes.
- Coincides with safety as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Key Job Requirements
- Ability to follow directions and meet deadlines.
- Journeyman experienced in HVAC I and II, and a plus to have gutter and sheet metal knowledge.
- 5+ Years HVAC Residential Construction experience.
- Must be able to lift 70+ lbs. with no issues, climb ladders, simple grasping of objects, bending, pushing, and pulling.
- Must have reliable transportation and tools.
- Must have skills in HVAC repair and maintenance.
- Experience with construction scheduling and running large crews of field installers.
- Written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to lead others.
Physical Requirements
- Physical stamina: HVAC Installer/ technicians may work extended amount of hours walking, standing, and may need to be physically active without getting tired.
- Bending & Crawling: HVAC Installer/ technicians may work extended amount of hours kneeling, crawling, or climbing ladders.
- Lifting: HVAC Installer/ technicians may need to lift large parts and objects, and should be properly trained to safely do so. They should also be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
- Working in extreme conditions: HVAC Installer/ technicians may need to work in settings with extreme cold or extreme heat, depending on the time of year.
