HVAC Installation Apprentice

Responsibilities

• Assist crew leader with installation of air conditioning units and furnaces.
• Aid in the installation and replacement of various HVAC components such as gas furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, electric furnaces, packaged terminal units, ductless split systems, humidification and dehumidification equipment, electronic air cleaners, air purification systems, and residential control systems.
• Explain each service provided to customers and accurately document invoices to include details on system components, services completed, and costs.
• Discuss with customers current and/or future equipment and service requirements.
• Maintain company vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
• Maintain a professional image at all times.
• Participate in ALL company-sponsored training classes.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Knowledge of operational functionality of residential HVAC equipment is preferred.
• The ability to courteously communicate with customers and follow directions from the crew leader is essential.
• Appropriate trade tools must be possessed.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen is necessary.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is typically Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work as needed. Specific hours will be determined during the interview process.

Pay

The pay rate for this position is competitive and will be discussed during the interview process. Commission potential is also available based on performance.
