Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Install HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ventilation systems, ductwork and related equipment.
- Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints and specifications.
- Ensure installations meet safety standards, local codes, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Inspect and test installed systems for proper operation and performance.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with customers and supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including job site cleanup.
Basic Qualifications
- CT D1, D2, S1 or S2 License
- Valid CT Driver’s License
- OSHA 10 or 30 Certificate
- EPA I, II & Universal
- Must clearly communicate in verbal and written form.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
- Ability to work on a team and communicate effectively with others.
Physical Demands
- Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.
- Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or materials.
- This position requires: stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, seeing, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
- Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently.
Work Environment
- Operates primarily alone and travels to different work sites each day.
- May work in tight spaces, typically indoors, but may work outside in poor weather conditions.
- Vehicles are used as the base of operations.
