About the role
Diamond Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electrical is looking for an experienced HVAC Installation Technician to join our growing team in Garden City, Idaho. This is a hands-on role for someone with 2–3+ years of HVAC experience who understands that great installations aren't just about getting the equipment running—they're about doing the job safely, correctly, efficiently, and professionally.
You’ll work alongside experienced installers and technicians to complete residential and light commercial HVAC projects while continuing to sharpen your skills and grow your career.
Responsibilities
- Install residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, ductwork, thermostats, and related equipment
- Assist with equipment replacement, system upgrades, and new installations
- Load, unload, stage, and organize equipment and materials
- Prepare job sites and ensure everything is ready for a smooth installation
- Assist with measuring, cutting, fitting, connecting, and securing HVAC components
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Follow installation specifications, manufacturer requirements, local codes, and company safety standards
- Work alongside senior installers and technicians to complete projects efficiently
- Keep job sites, vehicles, tools, and equipment clean and organized
- Troubleshoot installation challenges and help find practical solutions
- Continue learning new products, technology, techniques, and industry best practices
- Represent Diamond with professionalism and respect when working in customers' homes and businesses
Requirements
- 2–3+ years of HVAC installation experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Working knowledge of residential HVAC systems and installation practices
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver HVAC equipment and materials
- Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, garages, mechanical rooms, and varying job-site conditions
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Team-first attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
- Pride in your work and commitment to doing the job right
Qualifications
Even better if you have:
- Experience with residential change-outs
- Ability to read and follow installation specifications
- Experience with ductwork
- Understanding of HVAC electrical and refrigerant fundamentals
- Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
- Desire to continue developing your technical skills and take on more responsibility

$24–$28/hour
