HVAC Install Apprentice - Dayton

About the role

Thomas & Galbraith’s HVAC Install Apprentice works alongside the HVAC Lead Installer to deliver high-quality HVAC system and product installations, ensuring projects run smoothly, profitably, and to the client’s satisfaction. The role emphasizes a positive attitude, a commitment to exceeding expectations, and a strong desire to learn the trade.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and proactively seek development opportunities through continued training and one-on-one coaching
• Arrive on time daily to receive direction and prepare truck and materials
• Follow installation procedures and processes
• Assist Lead Installer in maintaining truck inventory
• Properly tear down and recycle equipment and materials from the previous day’s jobs
• Available to arrive early or stay late as workload and seasonal demands require; mandatory Saturdays during peak season
• Follow the Lead Installer’s direction while working in clients’ homes
• Safely and efficiently complete all other assigned duties
• Obtain or be willing to obtain required certifications (support available)

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Working toward EPA 608 certification within 3 months of employment
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, lift, and walk at various intervals
• Ability to lift loads up to 75 pounds on a regular basis

Qualifications

• NATE Core Certification within one year of employment
