Position Mission
To support high-quality residential HVAC installations by assisting experienced technicians, learning on the job, and ensuring each project is completed safely and effectively. As an Install Apprentice, you will grow your skills and contribute to a successful team.
Overview
Walker Plumbing Heating & Air is seeking a motivated HVAC Install Apprentice eager to start or grow a career in the HVAC industry. You will work under the guidance of experienced installers to help complete residential and light commercial HVAC installations. This is a learning-intensive role for those who value growth, teamwork, and craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in installation of HVAC systems including ductwork, furnaces, air conditioners, and thermostats.
- Load/unload materials and prepare job sites.
- Follow instructions and safety guidelines on each project.
- Help maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Learn and apply industry best practices and installation codes.
- Support senior technicians with tools, measurements, and equipment setup.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- A desire to pursue an HVAC career
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- The ability to pass a background check and drug test
- The ability to lift and carry heavy equipment
