HVAC Controls Technician

Position Summary

The Control Technician / Service Technician is responsible for the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of building automation and control systems, with a focus on Tridium platforms. This role ensures projects and service contracts are executed efficiently, meet quality standards, and achieve customer satisfaction.

Experience/Job Skills

• Knowledge of Devices
• Troubleshooting skills: Electrical, Mechanical, Programming
• Ability to use power tools
• Proficient in necessary software(s)
• Understand engineering and installation standards and protocols
• Mark-up drawing for creation of as-builts
• Troubleshoot and modify Tridium programs
• Make service calls as needed

Execution Project Goals

• Perform/Supervise start-up and commissioning of Controls system
• Perform/Supervise troubleshooting of controls systems
• Afford assistance with emergency calls when needed
• Installation, wiring and testing of field devices, when needed
• Documentation of all revisions to project engineering drawings; effectively communicate information to design engineer and PM
• Conduct point-to-point testing
• Participate in job site final check out; assist PM and Engineers in completing all job closeout documentation
• Quality Project Goals
• Quality control for each assigned project; follow installation practices
• Collaborate with all teams to ensure proper execution of project
• Ensure complete customer satisfaction
• Completed on time and within budget
• Document all project events and properly archive records
