Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-functional inspections and complete start-up checklists for chillers, boilers, air handlers, VRF units, split systems, and other commercial HVAC equipment
- Conduct diagnostics and make necessary repairs on refrigeration systems during start-up and warranty periods
- Interpret control schematics, high-voltage wiring diagrams, and manufacturer-provided installation documentation
- Absorb and prepare field-installed devices and components prior to start-up
- Work closely with commissioning agents and complete all commissioning documentation
- Document inspection results, start-up data, identified issues, and corrective actions
Requirements
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in commercial HVAC equipment installation and start-up
- Strong understanding of HVAC system operations, refrigeration circuits, and equipment sequence of operations
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, blueprints, submittals, and manufacturer manuals
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or iPad-based field reporting tools
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues
- VRF installation and start-up experience preferred
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures
Leadership Key Responsibilities
- Support field operations by ensuring proper execution of start-up procedures and accurate documentation for all assigned HVAC systems
