HVAC Commercial Installer

About the role

The HVAC Commercial Installer installs commercial and industrial heating and cooling equipment (rooftops, furnaces, central air conditioners, commercial refrigeration equipment).

Responsibilities

• Installing HVAC systems (Hydronic, Steam, Forced Hot Air, and Heat Pumps).
• Maintaining a high standard of mechanical installation practices.
• Brazing and soldering.
• Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and blueprints.
• Understanding of proper refrigerant piping installation.
• Basic knowledge of system controls and wiring.
• Maintaining a professional demeanor with good communication ability.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of HVAC experience in HVAC service and installation or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Must be able to pass a post-offer pre-employment drug screen and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e. DMV, criminal history).
• Must adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• High mechanical aptitude.
• Basic computer skills.

• Depending on the position, individuals may need to ride or drive in a vehicle for two or more hours at a time.
• Exposure to varying temperatures and all weather conditions at outside job sites.

• Must be able to climb, reach above shoulder height, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl often.

• May work with or around typical construction materials and chemicals requiring safety data sheet knowledge.

Pay

$16 - $40 an hour (depending on experience).
