About the role
The HVAC Maintenance Mechanic will support the Facilities Supervisor by performing inspections, installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications of refrigeration systems, air conditioning units, evaporative coolers, exhaust fans, and ventilation equipment. The role will also conduct scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure optimal efficiency of all heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair refrigeration equipment
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components of HVAC systems
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical aspects of HVAC systems
- Perform building automation system audits and make adjustments to maintain efficient operation
- Complete assigned tasks with high quality workmanship
- Communicate effectively using verbal and written skills
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Four (4) years of experience in installation, repair, and maintenance of small and large capacity commercial HVAC equipment
- Trade school education with specialized training in HVAC
- EPA Universal Refrigeration certification
Qualifications
- Proficient across multiple trades including plumbing, electrical, sheet metal, refrigeration, cooling tower maintenance, and tower water treatment
Skills
- Understanding of refrigeration systems
- Understanding of electrical systems
- Understanding of mechanical aspects of HVAC systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and manipulate building automation systems

Pay
The posted compensation range is $24.33 - $36.19 /hour, reflecting the lowest to highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
