HVAC Apprentice I

Responsibilities

• Assemble sheet metal, set roof curbs, install mechanical equipment, and perform other HVAC-related items
• Demonstrate the willingness to excel and learn commercial HVAC
• Determine the right tools and equipment necessary to complete the job successfully
• Learn industry-relevant building codes and regulations for the installation and maintenance of commercial plumbing systems
• Measure, cut, and bend mechanical material
• Be on the jobsite at the required time
• Attend all safety meetings
• Follow the instructions given by on-site leadership
• Transport and return all materials/equipment the job site requires
• Clean the job site after the work is completed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• OSHA 10 Certification required
• At least 1+ years of experience

Skills

• Knowledge of HVAC systems and their inner workings
• Familiarity with all tools and equipment necessary for HVAC installation and maintenance
• Physical fitness and manual dexterity
• Ability to follow instructions
• Good communication and customer service skills

• Required to stand, walk, and sit
• Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone
• Use hand(s) and fingers to handle or feel objects or controls
• Reach with hand(s) and arm(s)
• Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds

Travel as needed is required.
