HVAC and Refrigeration Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing all types of HVAC and Refrigeration Systems within the facility.
• Systems maintained include, but are not limited to: Air Handlers, Exhaust Fans, Package units, Roof Top units, Split Type Heating and Cooling Systems, Glycol systems, Chilled Water Systems, Hot Water systems, Steam Heating Systems.
• Maintaining Pneumatic Controls and Building Automation System.
• Operating and monitoring the Pneumatic Tube System, Elevators, and Fire Alarm System.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One but less than two years of basic technical or occupationally specific training in HVAC Refrigeration.
• Five to seven years of previous work‑related experience.
• EPA Type 4 Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with no pending violations and an acceptable driving record per SJH policy (and SJH insurance carrier if applicable) for those required to drive a hospital vehicle.
