HVAC and Appliance Manager

PRIDE Industries · Fort Bliss, TX · 2 wk ago
ManagementFull-time
We need to output HTML fragment with sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections that have real specific content. We must not repeat job title as heading. Must not include Job ID etc. Must preserve all substantive info, remove boilerplate (EEO, navigation, legal, etc). Must use

for section headings. Use
  • for any list of duties/requirements/benefits, and

for prose. We need to parse the posting. Content: - Mission statement: "PRIDE Industries is a fast-paced company with a mission To Create Jobs for People with Disabilities while providing high quality, value-added solutions to our nationwide customers." That's about the company; could be "About the role"? Actually "About the role" could be position summary. We'll include a section "About the role" with position summary paragraph. - Position summary: "Under minimal supervision, the HVAC and Appliance Manager is responsible to manage HVAC and appliance maintenance as well as repair services for the specified facilities according to PRIDE’s contract at the military installation. This position will also oversee all HVAC and related maintenance staff to ensure compliance." - Typical duties: list 1-9 with bullet points. Those are responsibilities. - Minimum qualifications: list bullet points (some are qualifications, some are skills). We need to separate into sections: Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We need to decide what goes where. Typically: - About the role: position summary. - Responsibilities: typical duties list. - Requirements: maybe education requirement, certificates/licenses required, physical requirements, work environment? Those could be requirements. - Qualifications: minimum qualifications list (experience, supervisory skills, etc.) - Skills: maybe specific skills like communication, computer literacy, etc. But we have overlapping. We need to avoid duplication. The instruction: "Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones." So we might combine some. We must include sections only when posting has real specific content. We have content for: - About the role (position summary) - Responsibilities (typical duties) - Requirements (education, certificates/licenses, physical requirements, work environment) maybe. - Qualifications (minimum qualifications list) - but that could be considered qualifications. - Skills: maybe we can extract from minimum qualifications: communication, computer literacy, etc. But we could treat those as part of qualifications. We need to avoid thin sections. Perhaps we can have: - About the role - Responsibilities - Requirements (including education, certificates/licenses, physical requirements, work environment) - Qualifications (minimum qualifications) We could omit Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule because not provided. Check posting: No explicit benefits, pay, schedule. So we should not create those sections. Thus output sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications. Now we need to format. Use

for each heading. Inside each section, use

    for prose,

    • for lists. We must preserve all substantive information; do not invent or summarize away detail. We need to include all details from the posting, except boilerplate. Let's extract: About the role: position summary paragraph. Also maybe include mission statement? That's about company, not role. Could be included in About the role? Might be considered "About the role" but it's about company. The instruction: "Do NOT repeat the job title as a heading (the page already shows it)". It didn't forbid including company mission. Could be part of About the role. But we need to preserve all substantive information. The mission statement is substantive. Should we include it? It's not about the role but about company. Could be placed in About the role as introductory paragraph. We'll include it. Thus About the role section:

PRIDE Industries is a fast-paced company with a mission To Create Jobs for People with Disabilities while providing high quality, value-added solutions to our nationwide customers.

plus position summary paragraph. We could combine into one

with both sentences. Now Responsibilities: typical duties list (1-9). Each bullet includes asterisks for essential job function. We need to preserve the asterisks? Probably keep them as part of text. We'll output each as

    • with the text. We need to keep the numbering? The original list uses numbers. We can keep them as part of
    • text. Now Requirements: includes: - EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or GED; Technical/other training - CERTIFICATES OR LICENSES REQUIRED: EPA Certification; Fed Security Clearance; R410A Safety; Valid Driver's License - PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: list bullet points: Maneuvering to, in, and around equipment; Bending, kneeling, stooping and reaching; Climbing stepstools or ladders.; Lifting and moving heavy equipment up to 35 pounds; Climbing ladders to gain access to rooftop equipment; Monitoring computer systems and control displays - WORK ENVIRONMENT: description paragraph. We need to preserve all. We'll create a
for each sublist? Could combine into one list but better to separate with headings? But we cannot add extra headings beyond the allowed ones? The instruction only says use

for section headings (About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It doesn't forbid using other headings inside? It says use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). Likely they expect only those headings as

. Inside sections we can use

        and

        • . We can't add other headings like

. So we need to embed the subcategories within paragraphs or lists. We can include a short prose introducing each subcategory, then a list. For Requirements section: we can have a

that says "Education Requirements:" then a

            for diploma etc. Then another

for "Certificates or Licenses Required:" then a

              . Then another

              for "Physical Requirements:" then a

                . Then a

                for "Work Environment:" then a

with description. We must preserve all details. Now Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications list bullet points. We'll output as

                • each. We need to keep the bullet points exactly as in posting, including the bullet symbol? We'll just use the text. Now ensure we don't include boilerplate: EEO, disclaimer, "At PRIDE, we make a difference..." etc. Also remove "SUPERVISES There are direct reports with this position." That's a line; we might include it? It's substantive about supervises. Could be part of responsibilities? It says "SUPERVISES There are direct reports with this position." That's a statement about supervising. Could be included in Responsibilities or About the role. Since it's a specific piece, we should preserve it. Where to place? Could be in Responsibilities as a bullet? Or as a paragraph in About the role. I'd include it in Responsibilities as a bullet maybe. But the original formatting: "SUPERVISES There are direct reports with this position." It's a heading-like line but not a formal duty. We'll treat as a responsibility: "Supervises direct reports." We'll keep the exact text: "SUPERVISES There are direct reports with this position." We'll put as a
                • maybe. Also "APPROVAL DATE August 2017" etc is metadata; we should drop minor metadata like Job ID, requisition numbers, approval date, salary grade, FLSA status, etc. The instruction: "Do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short

or drop it." So we can drop approval date, salary grade, FLSA status, etc. So we will not include those. Also "Job Code B92 - PR-HVAC Appliance Manager" etc drop. Now "POSITION SUMMARY" we used. Now "TYPICAL DUTIES" we used. Now "MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS" we used. Now "EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS" etc. Now "CERTIFICATES OR LICENSES REQUIRED" etc. Now "PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS" etc. Now "WORK ENVIRONMENT" etc. Now "DISCLAIMER" etc drop. Now "At PRIDE, we make a difference..." drop as boilerplate? It's motivational but maybe considered boilerplate? It's not EEO but still promotional. The instruction says remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. This line is not exactly those, but could be considered promotional. However it's substantive? It's about making a difference. Might be considered boilerplate but not explicitly listed. Safer to drop it? The instruction: "Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions." It doesn't say remove motivational statements. But later: "Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones." This line is not essential to the job. I'd drop it to keep focused. Also "Ready to make an impact? Join an organization where business meets purpose and every role contributes to a greater mission. Apply today at PRIDE Careers and be part of something meaningful. Learn more about who we are and what we stand for at www.prideindustries.com." That's application instructions/promotional; drop. Now we need to ensure we don't repeat job title as heading. Now produce HTML. Let's craft:
