About the role
The role involves managing the daily care and maintenance of animals in a zoo setting. Responsibilities include feeding, cleaning, and monitoring the health of various species.
Responsibilities
- Feeding and watering animals according to their dietary needs.
- Cleaning enclosures and animal habitats daily.
- Maintaining records of animal health and feeding schedules.
- Monitoring and reporting any signs of illness or distress.
- Assisting with training and behavior modification programs as needed.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with animals, preferably in a zoo or similar environment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Physical stamina for lifting and moving heavy objects.
- Knowledge of basic animal husbandry practices.
Skills
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of animal welfare and conservation principles.

Pay
$20 - $25 per hour, depending on experience.
