About the role

Legends Global, the leader in event and facilities management, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland and the Global Center for Health Innovation. The Security Officer ensures security and safety for events and facility operations.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard the facility by patrolling and monitoring cameras.
• Control and direct traffic and personnel movement.
• Communicate courteously and provide information to guests.
• Conduct routine security checks and document findings.
• Respond to emergencies using CPR and AED if necessary.
• Complete and maintain detailed shift reports and logs.
• Operate and monitor fire alarm and surveillance systems.
• Communicate with the command center and respond to calls.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months of security experience.
• Preferred: OPOTA certification.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications.
• Valid driver’s license or willingness to obtain one.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and confidentiality.
• Detail-oriented and organized with strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Surveillance skills preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Knowledge of public safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
