Hunting Sales Outfitter - Part Time

Provides counter sales and customer service for Hunting/Archery merchandise (non-firearms). Performs various selling and customer service activities, including greeting customers, handling merchandise, and offering product information and assistance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver world-class customer service to ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience.
• Assist customers in making buying decisions by identifying needs and providing product recommendations.
• Promote programs such as CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Demonstrate product features and benefits to customers.
• Organize and maintain merchandise within the retail store, including replenishing product on shelves per merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing training.
• Stay knowledgeable of advertised sales, pricing, and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep work area clean, neat, and well-stocked with supplies.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of retail experience.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Skills

• Customer service and sales of hunting/archery merchandise (non-firearms).
• Ability to merchandise and stock products.

Physical Requirements

• Constantly stand and/or walk during shift.
• Occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps.
• Constantly communicate with others to exchange information.
• Occasionally repeat motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Occasionally operate machinery, power tools, motor vehicles, or heavy equipment.
• Light work involving moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly; may occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds (utilizing a team lift as needed).
• Occasionally work in tight and confined spaces.
• Occasionally work in noisy environments.

Independent Judgement

Performs tasks under general supervision using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems and occasionally makes independent decisions. Often recommends improvements to work procedures, policies, and practices.

Pay

Starting pay rate: $17.00 - $19.75 per hour.
