About the role
The Sales Outfitter provides counter sales and customer service for Hunting/Archery Merchandise (non-Firearms). This position ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience by assisting customers with buying decisions, demonstrating products, and maintaining merchandise organization.
Responsibilities
- Deliver world-class customer service to ensure a legendary experience for every customer.
- Assist customers in making buying decisions by identifying needs and providing product recommendations.
- Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and In-Store Pickup.
- Demonstrate products to customers.
- Organize and maintain merchandise within the retail store, including replenishing product on shelves per merchandising guidelines.
- Remain a product expert through ongoing training and stay knowledgeable of advertised sales, pricing, and signing.
- Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and well-stocked work area.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 0-2 years of experience in retail.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Skills
- Customer service and sales of Hunting/Archery Merchandise (non-Firearms).
- Ability to merchandise and stock products.
Physical Requirements
- Constantly stand and/or walk during shift.
- Occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps.
- Constantly communicate with others to exchange information.
- Occasionally repeat motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Occasionally operate machinery, power tools, motor vehicles, or heavy equipment.
- Light work involving moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly; may occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more (utilizing a team lift as needed).
- Occasionally work in tight and confined spaces.
- Occasionally work in noisy environments.
Independent Judgement
Performs tasks under general supervision using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems, occasionally using independent judgment. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
Pay
Starting pay rate: $16.00 - $18.75 per hour.
