Paul Smith’s College is a private, four-year institution with approximately 750 students in both undergraduate and graduate programs. About the role
Paul Smith’s College is seeking qualified candidates who are dynamic, well-prepared with related advanced degrees, and student-centered teachers in the Humanities and Social Sciences to join our faculty beginning the Fall 2026 semester. The successful candidate will teach four courses per semester and have experience instructing, researching, or writing in the humanities, primarily in the areas of history, the arts, culture, anthropology, ethics, media, writing, and related fields.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses such as Global History, US History, Ethics, Sociology, Environmental and Social Justice, Anthropology, Wellness and Wildness, Gerontology, Adirondack Fiction, Western and World Music, and other related subjects based on applicant background
- Conduct course assessment and student mentoring during office hours
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to improve student learning
Requirements
- College-level teaching experience in Humanities and Social Science subjects
- Earned graduate degree in a relevant field
- Distinguished secondary school teaching experience and appropriate credentials may also be considered
Pay
$20,000–$24,000 per semester
