Job Summary

The Extended Foster Care (EFC) Consultant provides direct coaching and oversight to EFC Success Coach Program Providers in order to ensure successful implementation of the EFC Success Coach Program. The EFC Consultants will be responsible for various duties including group coaching sessions, facilitating Age of Majority meetings, tracking coaches, and monitoring program fidelity.

Job Duties

  • Provide directly to all new staff the Youth Thrive and DCS Specific training.
  • Provide coaching, consultation, and certification on Youth Thrive, DCS program specific training to the contracted providers; support or facilitate Age of Majority (AOM) staffing’s meetings; and support contractors case planning for young adults who demonstrate high level needs.
  • Meet with their assigned providers weekly for the first 6 months of services and monthly thereafter, or at a dosage decided by the Consultant.
  • Conduct observations of supervision sessions, and supervision to provider supervisors which could include group supervision.
  • Monitor quarterly regional young adult focus groups, assess and support staffing cases of disengaged youth and contractor EFC Success Coaching Quarterly meetings.
  • Participate in EFC Reviews when determined to be a need in problem solving.
  • Travel to Contract providers to support delivery of service and be responsible for the fidelity and compliance of the service delivery.
  • Assess and support staffing specific cases to ensure fittingness of EFC Success Coach case assignment that fully supports the young adult’s needs and provide recommendations of case re-assignment (if needed).
  • Organize and facilitate AOM meetings and other staffing for youth in out of state Behavioral Health facilities and those who may be in states of incarceration or detention.
  • Other duties as assigned as related to the position.

Pre-Employment Requirements

  • The ability to secure and maintain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • The ability to secure and maintain clearance from the DCS Central Registry.
