About the role
The State of Minnesota is seeking a Human Services Technician to join the Community Behavioral Health Hospital (CBHH) in Alexandria. This role is part of the Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) division, which provides short-term, acute inpatient psychiatric services.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate admission and discharge functions.
- Complete the demographic/technical admission procedure for patients entering the CBHH.
- Provide optimal physical and mental health care (according to the scope of this position).
- Maintain an acceptable environment of care.
- Participate as a member of the integrated treatment team in the development/implementation of individual patient behavioral treatment plans and by promoting illness management and recovery process.
- Perform delegated treatments and procedures within policy.
- Maintain a hazard-free environment through awareness of safety standards and response to emergency calls.
- Perform housekeeping tasks.
- Collect, organize monitoring and evaluation data as requested.
- Participate in in-service training and quality improvement activities.
Requirements
- Ability to read and write English sufficient to understand/follow directions and to maintain records/documentation.
- Human relations skills sufficient to establish rapport with and provide direction to service recipients.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Pay
$21.59 - $28.94 / hourly; $45,080 - $60,427 / annually.
Schedule
Rotating Shift / 6:30AM-5:00PM; 12:00PM-10:30PM; Night Shift / 9:30PM-7:30AM.
