About the role

The Human Services Program Administrator (Unit Manager Administrator) oversees facility behavioral healthcare functions at Circleville Juvenile Correctional Facility. They provide support to all living unit programming, security, and custody activities, coordinate Unit Management processes, and ensure adherence to ACA standards.

Responsibilities

  • Makes regular rounds on each unit with each Unit Manager
  • Makes recommendations based on interdisciplinary treatment teams
  • Makes performance evaluations for Unit Managers and assists in hiring
  • Develops and utilizes audit tools to assess Unit Management processes
  • Maintains and updates knowledge of ACA standards and other relevant models
  • Monitors safety issues, youth accountability, and staff involvement
  • Completes formal and/or informal interviews and investigations as needed
  • Assists in developing and delivering employee training
  • Schedules and conducts monthly meetings with Unit Managers and quarterly interdisciplinary team meetings
  • Provides direction, training, and technical guidance to Unit Managers and other staff
  • Ensures living units meet or exceed ACA standards
  • Performs other administrative duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Completion of undergraduate or graduate core program in social or behavioral science, pre-medicine, public or business administration or accounting
  • At least 18 months of experience in delivery of human services or medical assistance in governmental, community, or private human support services agencies or medical providers or review of such services for cost containment/budget planning
  • At least 6 months of experience in supervisory principles/techniques
