Human Services Job Link Intern
About the role
The County of Sonoma Human Services Department is seeking energetic individuals currently enrolled in a workforce development program to assist their Employment and Training Job Link Program.
Responsibilities
- Creating, updating, and closing client case files (physical and/or electronic)
- Creating and managing appointment spreadsheets
- Managing Job Link emails and interpretation requests
- Processing invoices and reimbursements
- Contacting clients quarterly for data collection purposes
- Entering data in program databases
- Answering phones and providing exceptional customer service
- Aiding Job Link staff with projects and client orientations
- Scheduling/attending meetings and taking notes
- Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Current enrollment as a participant in a formal workforce development program
- Some knowledge of: basic customer service skills; general goals and purposes of county and departmental programs, services, and operations; and basic occupational hazards and standard safety practices
- Ability to: understand and follow oral and written instructions; work under supervision; learn and perform assigned tasks and routines; establish and maintain harmonious work relationships with co-workers and the general public; work in an efficient and safe manner
