Human Services Counselor III

About the role

This position provides ongoing services to Healthy Start clients in Wakulla County, focusing on maternal and infant health through home visiting and telephonic outreach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized health education, parenting support, and developmental screenings
• Conduct initial client intakes
• Document services accurately
• Refer clients to community resources
• Coordinate parent support groups
• Participate in community outreach and program meetings

Qualifications

Require knowledge of community resources, excellent communication and documentation skills, ability to interpret clients' needs, and adherence to program guidelines. Ability to work independently, establish rapport, and handle sensitive topics is essential.

Requirements

• Valid Florida Driver's License
• Relevant educational background (bachelor’s in social sciences or health-related field, or equivalent experience)
• Experience with youth and families preferred
• Bilingual skills desirable
• Must be able to work in-office and in the field, with flexibility for outreach activities
